Tags¶
A tag is a label you make up and attach to accounts, such as Work, Games, Banking or Family. An account can have as many tags as you like, or none. Tags are optional; with a handful of accounts you may never need them. With fifty, they are how you find things.
The Tags tab¶
The Tags tab lists every tag with the number of accounts it holds. Tap a tag to see its accounts, sorted by name, and tap an account to open its code. The last row, 🚫 No Tags, gathers every account that has no tag at all, so nothing is ever lost from view.
Two pills and buttons help here:
- The Archived pill above the list shows archived accounts inside each tag, and adds a red count of them to each row.
- Inside a tag, A–Z and Z–A change the sort order.
- Inside a tag, Edit at the top right opens the list of every account with a tick beside the ones that carry this tag. More on that below.

Giving an account tags¶
There are two ways, and you'll use both:
- On the account's form. When you add or edit an account, the Tags section shows every tag as a chip. Tap chips to switch them on and off. The gear beside the heading opens Manage Tags if you need a new one.
- From the tag's side. Open Manage Tags (below) and tap the › beside a tag, or tap Edit inside a tag on the Tags tab. You see every account with a circle beside it. Tap a row to tick or untick it, use the search field and the A–Z, Z–A and Archived pills to find accounts quickly, and tap Done to save, or Cancel to change nothing. This is the quick way to make a new tag and sweep a dozen accounts into it in a few seconds.

Manage Tags¶
Open Manage Tags from the gear on the Tags tab, or from the menu behind the logo at the top left.
- Add a tag with the field at the top. Type the name and tap Add. The hint under the field tells you if a name isn't allowed.
- Rename a tag by tapping its name, editing it and tapping the tick. Every account that has the tag is updated.
- Delete a tag by swiping it to the left. This only removes the label; no account is ever deleted by deleting a tag.
- › opens the tag's account list, as above.

The rules for names¶
- Up to 15 characters. Short names look best on the code screen, so the hint suggests 8 or fewer.
- A name must start with a letter, a digit or an underscore.
- Two tags can't have the same name, even with different capital letters: work and Work are the same tag.
- No Tags is reserved for the app's own row.
Your list starts with one tag, New, as an example. Delete or rename it as you like.
Tags on the code screen¶
An account's tags appear as small white chips under its name on the code screen, in alphabetical order. If there are more than fit on two rows, the last chip reads +3 (or however many are hidden) rather than squeezing them in.
